ADDICTION| In reality, 1 in every 6 Teens has some form of net addiction.

Before starting the topic, I want to tell the story…..

The story begins with the seventeen year young boy Gaurav’s parents found that their son was so attached to his phone that he was reluctant to bathe, shave or even change his clothes.

They counted that he was “gaming” for 14 hours on holidays and 6 hours on the days he attended the college.     

In reality, he had an addiction

Now, the question arises what is the digital addiction?

Addiction is fine to the extent till it doesn’t interfere with your life and stop you from doing things you need to do, is the hallmark of an addiction.

 Phone addiction is a syndrome where users are affected by smartphones overuse which affects their daily life in a negative way.

Those who suffer from this addiction could have underlying issues like depression, anxiety, and a socially challenged personality. Due to these issues, they constantly use their phones for their comfort.

  

SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION

 Social media addiction is quite easy to define. If you spend far too much time on social media like Facebook, Twitter, Snap-chap, Instagram etc to the point where you document each and every each and every aspect of your life on any/all of the platform, you could be social media addict.  

INTERNET ADDICTION

 Internet addiction is defined as when users may find it difficult to differentiate between the virtual world and reality. Sufferers tend to spend excessive amounts of time online, not only eating up time but also causing a higher risk of overspending by getting involved in online gambling and gaming.
